RSS Feeds

I am still thinking of ways RSS feeds could be used at our library. I would like to create a blog on our library web site to inform our patrons about the latest news, classes and services available at the library. I also like the ability to set up TOCs from journals and PubMed SDIs as RSS feeds. I had never heard of Feed2JS before this class. I think I'll try experimenting with it and see how it might work on our library web page. Our patrons could set up an RSS feed for our library blog. They could also set up their own Journal TOCs and SDI feeds.

I personally like the RSS feed technology because I am an avid music follower. I've set up all of the RSS feeds from my favorite band websites so I keep updated on concerts, new music and other events that might be happening in my area. There is nothing I hate worse than finding out after the fact that one of my favorite bands played a concert in my area and I missed it!
